Capture the flag
Teams race to crack web, crypto, forensics and reversing challenges against a live scoreboard.
Youth hackathon
Build a security fix for a real problem, with mentors from CyShield on the floor.
Bug hunting
Find real bugs in targets their owners have opened to you, and get credited for every valid one.
CyShield has brought live capture-the-flag finals to Cairo ICT before: in 2024, 20 teams played live at the show. This year the competition gets its own zone at Connecta.
The challenge categories
Seven ways in.
- web/Break a website the way attackers do, then explain how to stop it.
- crypto/Spot the weak link in how a message was locked.
- forensics/Read the traces left in a file, a memory dump or network traffic.
- reversing/Take a program apart to see what it really does.
- pwn/Make a program do something its author never intended.
- osint/Find the answer using only what is already public.
- mobile/Look inside an Android app for what it leaks.
Cyber Zone 2025

CyShield is a Cairo cybersecurity and digital transformation company working since 2016: penetration testing, red teaming, managed detection and response, and a security operations centre as a service. Its security team builds the challenges, runs the infrastructure and judges the results.
The flag is in Hall 4.
